MDP+ Cleansing & Pore Care: Red Lacto Collagen Oil, Foam and Mask

Three products make up the Red Lacto Collagen set: an oil cleanser, a foaming face wash and a wrapping mask. Two of them clean the skin, and the third goes on last and stays overnight.

MDP+ Red Lacto Collagen Cleansing Oil 2.0

Oil before foam

The cleansing oil is mostly soybean oil, 80% Glycine Soja Oil, and it dissolves waterproof makeup and sunscreen as step 1 of a double cleanse. It comes in a 6.76 fl oz bottle and is eye and skin irritation tested. Because it also contains AHA, skin that reacts to acids is better off with a patch test first.

A gentle wash for every day

The Clear 2.0 foam is a mildly alkaline cleanser in a 120 mL size, used morning and evening. It clears impurities, excess sebum and dead skin cells, and it leaves out synthetic fragrance, talc and pigments along with parabens, sulfates and mineral oil. It is dermatologist-tested with no animal testing, and it is made for sensitive skin that needs a gentle daily cleanse.

An overnight finish

The Wrapping Mask closes an evening routine. It is spread over the face after creams, left on until morning and then peeled away, so no rinsing is involved. Its 300 Da collagen and lactobacillus are there for hydrating and plumping the look of skin, and at 2.36 fl oz it is the smallest item in the set. It is clinically tested and dermatologist-tested.

Cleansing and mask questions

Is the cleansing oil needed on days without makeup?
On a bare face, the foam wash can handle the cleanse by itself. The oil is for days with sunscreen or waterproof makeup on the skin, since it dissolves both before the foam step.
Does the cleansing oil contain acids?
Yes: AHA sits in the formula with Lactobacillus Ferment and a T-Collagen Complex. Try it along the jawline first if exfoliating acids usually irritate your skin, and keep it away from the eyes.
Is the foam wash fragrance-free?
The Clear 2.0 foam is free from synthetic fragrance, and it also leaves out talc, pigments, parabens, sulfates and mineral oil.
How do the cleansers fit with face and neck creams?
Cleansing always comes before treatment: oil, then foam, then serums and creams from the face and neck lines. On nights when the Wrapping Mask is used, it goes over all of them as the closing layer.
