MDP+

About MDP+: How the Korean Peptide Range Is Put Together

MDP+ is a Korean skincare label, and its products lean on two families of ingredients: peptides for the look of firmness and collagen in several molecular sizes. Nine formulas make up the range covered here, from a 100ml jelly serum and a 1.76 oz melt-in moisturizer to a 3.38 fl oz neck cream and a 2.36 fl oz peel-off mask. Each product is assigned to one job in a routine instead of trying to cover several at once.

The intended user is an adult who wants firming and elasticity care on the face and neck and is comfortable layering products. Melanon X is the exception, since it addresses the look of dark spots and uneven skin tone. If a single all-in-one jar is what you are after, the range will feel fragmented; it makes more sense when each step is added on purpose.

How the range divides the work

The products split by area of skin first and by routine step second. Four formulas are for the face, two are shaped around the neck and décolleté, and three handle cleansing and the final evening layer. Within each group the formats differ on purpose: a jelly and a cream for the face, a cream and a stick for the neck, an oil and a foam for cleansing.

Texture tracks the moment of use. Lighter textures such as the jelly serum and the matte sunscreen stick suit daytime and oily skin, while Melanon X, built on shea butter and glycerin, is the richer option for dry skin. The wrapping mask is the only product meant to stay on the skin until morning.

Product names signal the line: Peptide 9 Pro for the face treatments, Naite for the two neck formats and Red Lacto Collagen for the cleansing set. Reading the name first tells you which part of the routine a product belongs to.

Reading the labels before you buy

Sizes mix three units. Creams and sticks are given in ounces by weight, liquids in fluid ounces or milliliters, so a 0.7 oz stick and a 2.36 fl oz mask are not directly comparable by the number alone. As a rough guide, 100ml is close to 3.38 fl oz, which means the ampoule serum and the neck cream hold about the same volume.

Testing labels mean different things. Clinically tested and dermatologist-tested appear on Melanon X and the wrapping mask; the cleansing oil is eye and skin irritation tested; the neck stick is low-irritation tested for sensitive skin. None of these is a medical claim, and every product here is a cosmetic aimed at the appearance of skin rather than at any skin condition.

Exclusion lists change between products too. Talc, synthetic fragrance and pigments are each left out of some formulas and not others, so a concern about one ingredient needs checking on the individual product page. The sunscreen stick is the only item that names its UV filter exclusions: octinoxate and oxybenzone.

Who MDP+ suits, and who should look elsewhere

The range fits someone whose main concerns are lost volume, loose-looking skin and the look of neck wrinkles, and who already has, or wants, a separate cleansing step. Shoppers who reapply sunscreen over makeup will find the stick format practical, and people who travel light get two 0.7 oz travel size sticks.

It is a weaker fit if acids sting your skin, because the cleansing oil contains AHA. Anyone after a large-format body sunscreen will find only a 20g stick. The dark spot line is a single cream, so a full routine built around skin tone would need products from outside the range.

What the MDP+ catalogue leaves out

Several common product types are absent: there is no toner, no eye cream, no separate exfoliant and no tinted product. The SPF stick is the only sun protection, and the wrapping mask is the only mask. Routines that rely on those steps will have to borrow them from elsewhere.

Body care is minimal. Apart from the sunscreen stick, which goes on face and body, every formula is sized and described for the face, neck or décolleté. Expect a focused set of nine pieces built around peptides and collagen, with gaps where those ingredients do not apply.
